From the foothills of North Carolina, Marshall brings an extensive reportoir of original and cover tunes to the Rattlers. His influences are too numerous to mention, but include bluegrass, blues, ragtime, rock 'n' roll, folk, and jazz.

Marshall has been involved in music most of his life, with many years of public radio experience. His historical knowledge of American music is outstanding.
